FAQ – DTF Printing for T-shirts
Does DTF stay on a T-shirt well?
Yes. DTF offers excellent resistance to washing, rubbing, and everyday wear, provided the pressing settings and washing recommendations are followed (30°C, inside out, no tumble drying). Results may vary depending on the quality of the fabric used.
Is DTF comfortable over a light T-shirt?
Yes. The finish is fine, supple and comfortable to wear, even on lightweight t-shirts or fabrics weighing less than 160 g/m².
Can a large "oversized" design be printed on a T-shirt?
Yes, the A3 format is perfect for large visuals, full back designs or streetwear/oversized style designs.
What size should I choose for a small chest logo?
An A4 sheet of paper is perfectly adequate for printed chest, sleeve, or internal label logos. If you have a large print run, a meter will be more cost-effective.
Does DTF work on all T-shirts?
It works on cotton, polyester, cotton/polyester blends, and most common fabrics. We recommend testing on a t-shirt before starting a full batch.
Can a polyester T-shirt be personalized?
Yes, but with a suitable temperature (135°C) to avoid any shine or color migration on certain heat-sensitive polyesters.
